Dale Wamstad, also known as “Del Frisco,” is the sole founder of two iconic, nationally recognized steakhouses. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse was founded in 1980 and III Forks in 1998.
Dale spent 20 years in the insurance business and in 1977 formed an investment group that funded a Popeye's Famous Fried Chicken franchise. The franchise went belly up in 1979, Dale blames nobody but himself. He then turned his attention to the upper-end steakhouse business opening his first Del Frisco's in 1981 in Lousiville, Kentucky. In 1988 Dale and his family moved to Chicago to take a break from the restaurant business for a year selling bibles door to door in Chicago before returning to Dallas in 1989 to re-entered the steakhouse business.

Westmont College in Santa Barbara with a BA in English, Dane is a student at the University of North Texas in Denton, and Shelby Rose will be attending Westmont College in the fall, having just graduated from Trinity Christian Academy where she was named to the Dean’s list.
